Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant - Dartmouth- Healthcare
- Picking, filling and labelling medications for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to later verify
- Professional communication via email to correspond with internal Patient Support Program (MS Office/Teams, Kroll)
- Arranging deliveries with patients over the phone
- Communicating with team members in a large team setting; closed-to-the-public pharmacy setting (no direct patient communication)
- May be involved in the preparation and printing of prescription shipping waybills, ensuring 100% accuracy of patient, order and shipment information for delivery
- Filling prescriptions in an office style pharmacy setting / modern, bright, clear and safe environment
- May rarely be involved in entry of prescriptions into Kroll software; primary focus of the role is filling/dispensing (standing for majority of shift at filling table) for technicians and pharmacists to verify/check
- Please note there are no PPE requirements for this role, however, pharmacy staff are required to follow provincial guidelines in terms of COVID and/or other respiratory illnesses

What YOU bring to the role of Pharmacy Assistant:
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in any pharmacy setting is required
- Strong prescription data entry experience using Kroll
- Start date availability ASAP
- Strong interest in learning about non-retail pharmacy settings for those looking to transition from community/retail pharmacy into a new setting
- Excellent attention to detail, able to spot and fix errors
- Fast learner, comfortable with on-the-job training
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a large team
